Scaling Nature-based Solutions Through Innovative Finance

NYC climate week invitation

We’re kicking off our time at Climate Week NYC by hosting two dynamic forums on Nature-based Solutions (NbS) at the Yale Club of New York City on the morning of September 23. Together, these forums will equip attendees with actionable strategies and investment insights essential for expanding the market for NbS and building a more resilient and financially viable future for people and the planet. Led by the Institute’s Janis Dubno and Dr. Nalini Nadkarni, the panels include:

  • Valuing the Priceless: Investing in Nature’s Intangible Benefits
Explore how translating nature’s intangible values — its spiritual, cultural, and emotional significance — into investable metrics can unlock new revenue streams and enhance the financial viability of NbS.
  • Using Outcomes-Based Financing to Scale Nature-based Solutions
Learn about innovative economic models such as outcomes-based financing that can help address hurdles in the NbS space and attract investors to this sector.

Space is very limited — RSVP today to secure your spot.

Traditional metrics, such as GDP and shareholder returns, capture only part of what drives shared prosperity and often fail to fully account for the measurable impacts on ecosystems, inequality, and the health and well-being of communities. Reflecting the need for new models, this invite-only roundtable will explore innovative approaches that promise to connect ecological health with community and economic well-being.
